Experience

I have tutored elementary students and graduate students in writing (some of whom spoke English as a second language) as well as my own school-age children in high school and college. I have a love for history and writing, and I would love to be able to help others acquire a fuller appreciation of either/both disciplines. I am a single father of three (two boys, ages 20 and 16, and a girl, age 9). Tutoring allows me to earn extra income and put my degrees to good use around my children's needs, which are my first priority in life.

Hobbies

I love to read a variety of non-fiction, and I do so every day. I am also an ASE Master-Certified Technician, so I also spend a lot of time in my well-equipped garage taking things apart, fixing them, and sometimes even putting them back together as the manufacturer intended. I am also learning about gardening with my daughter (I get to do the digging), and I take a lot of pride in maintaining my yard and landscaping, which by itself proves that I have firmly embraced middle-age.
