Experience
I attended Pennsylvania State University, where I received a bachelor's degree in Biology. I then went to the University of Kentucky, where I earned an M.S. in Forestry, concentrating on Wildlife Genetics. Upon graduation, I've worked in Wildlife Research and Conservation. Science of all kinds is my greatest passion. I especially love Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, and Zoology. I'm comfortable teaching Earth Science, Biology, Life Sciences, and all the above mentioned subjects. I've also worked to help students improve study and organization skills, too. Additionally, I have experience working with students on test prep. A large part of teaching science is encouraging students' questions, debate, and critique. Instruction is not one-sided; it's a dialogue. The skills students develop by way of learning the sciences can often be applicable in many areas of life, academically and otherwise. I've found that the lessons I've learned in my own study have stayed with me and helped me to achieve general success in all my scholarly, professional, and life endeavors. In terms of hobbies, I love traveling, reading, the arts, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy hiking, hockey, and photography, as well.
